Keemat

Jo aa ke ruke daaman pe 'Saba' ,woh ashq nahi hai paani hai
jo ashk na chhalke aakhon, se us ashk ki qeemat hoti hai

[Hey 'Saba', the tears that flow from the eyes and fall onto the lap, are not tears but plain waterOf priceless value are those tears, which do not flow from the eyes]

Judgement

Ae waaiz-e-naadaa kartaa hai too ek qayaamat kaa charchaa,
yahaa roz nigaahe milti hai, yahaaN roz qayaamat hoti hai

[E preacher, don't talk to me about The Day of Judgment; Here, everyday our eyes meet, and everyday is A Day of Judgment]

Purshish-E-Gam

Woh purshish-e-Gam ko aaye hai, kuchh keh na sakoo, chup reh na sakoo
Khaamosh rahoo to mushkil hai, keh doo to shikaayat hoti hai

[She has come to inquire the reasons for my sorrows; I can't say anything, and I cannot keep quiet eitherKeeping quiet will make things difficult, while telling the reasons would only be a cause for complaints]
